In this article, we will walk you through the steps of setting up your Go Pro with sidelineHD and streaming with Go Pro!

Streaming with GoPro and sidelineHD

What You Will Need

• A GoPro Camera
  • GoPro Hero models 7 or greater are needed for livestreaming to avoid overheating while recording extended sessions (games, matches, etc)
• The GoPro Quik app on iOS or Android

Setting up your GoPro Camera

1. Power on your GoPro camera
2. Open the utility drawer by swiping from the bottom of the touch display
3. Swipe left and select Connections
4. Select Connect Device
5. Open the GoPro Quik app
6. In the GoPro Quik app, select the camera icon in the top, right corner.
   • Your app will automatically begin scanning for nearby GoPro cameras
7. Press the blue Connect button.
   • If this button doesn't appear, double-check that your phone's Bluetooth is on and that your GoPro is in paring mode.

Setting up your GoPro Quik App

1. Login to your sidelineHD Account
2. Select your Team Card
3. At the top right of your team page, select Settings
4. Select Stream Settings
5. Select Camera Settings
6. Select the three dots to the right of your camera
   1. If you do not already have a camera enabled here, select the GoPro button to add a new camera.
7. Select Reconfigure Camera button
8. Select the server closest to you (NY, TX, or CA)
9. Select Copy to Clipboard button

Livestream With GoPro Quik App

1. In the GoPro Quik App, swipe left on the row of buttons at the bottom of the screen to get to a button that reads Live Stream and select it
2. Press the RTMP button
   • You may have to remove the default Facebook setting to do so.
3. Connect to your network
4. Paste your sidelineHD RTMP info into the box: ENTER YOUR STREAM URL  
5. Select a resolution (720 or lower)
6. Choose if you want to save a copy of your stream to the SD card (if installed)
7. Select the  Set up Live Stream button.  
8. Select Go Live              

If everything is working correctly, you should receive a Stream up text message from sidelineHD within 30 seconds!
